Kang Jinhuai Plaster Research Institute is the only research institute that studies traditional black plasters in Yuzhou, Henan Province.

Institute Director Kang Jinhuai, associate senior doctor of TCM, was born in a traditional Chinese medicine family and graduated from Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1970. He once was a member of Yuzhou Standing Committee of CPPCC and the director of TCM Department of Yuzhou Free Medical Hospital. After retirement in 2005, he opened Kang Jinhuai TCM Clinique.

Forty years ago, Director Kang was indebted to Professor Wu at Henan University of TCM and mastered plaster manufacture techniques as a student. After years of clinic practice Director, Kang has broadened plaster exploitation into the curing of various stubborn diseases and cancers and achieved remarkable effects. Jinhuai Plaster broke the traditional pattern “one sort of plaster cures hundreds of diseases”. By sorting out diseases, Director Kang has developed tens of plasters with evident effect, safety, credibility, cleanness, easiness, no flowing and no staining. Jinhuai Plaster is water-resistant when bathing and can be used in any season.

Jinhuai Plaster has practical function and pleasant outlook with sesame oil and precious Chinese medicine as stuff. Jinhuai Plaster got national patent certificate in 2000 and authorized number—Yu Sanitary Permit No. [2004] 304 & 305. Kang Jinhuai Plaster Research Institute has successfully merged with Zhengzhou Tongchunhe Biological Technology Co. Ltd.

Jinhuai Plaster Research Institute is located in Yuzhou, Henan Province. Yuzhou, known as the First Capital of China, was the capital of Xia Dynasty, the first dynasty of China. Yuzhou was also the first medicine dispatching center in China and thus was named as the Medicine Capital in ancient China. According to historical records, Sun Simiao, the God of Medicine, once lived in Yuzhou for a long time.
